POF Field-Based Training:
Interdisciplinary Participatory Research for Conflict Transformation

OBJECTIVES
The Perspectives of Freedom Foundation (POF) announces an interdisciplinary, field-based training on participatory research for conflict transformation. The workshop aims to increase the capacity of conflict resolution researchers to conduct participatory research that advances sustainable interventions.
This training does not qualify for the university degree requirement.

This one-week field-based training will be held in Vilcabamba, Loja, Ecuador.

COURSE CONTENT
The training sessions will provide conflict resolution researchers with intensive training in the skills required to plan, design, implement, analyze, and interpret participatory research methodology. Training will focus on Social Cartography.
ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION CRITERIA
Applicants must have an M.S. degree and experience in conducting research relevant to conflict resolution. Applicants must have familiarity with basic research methods, theory, and practice.
COST & STIPENDS
Tuition and course materials $ 1,000. Discount for Conflict Resolution Students from Nova Southeastern University Students ($500). Accepted attendees will be responsible for their own travel, food, and lodging costs.

POF activities follow the safety policies and recommendations of the host country, in this case, Ecuador’s Ministry of Heath guidelines.
